Styling for Events
When it comes to delivering extraordinary outdoor events, Blue Sky Tipis are at the very top of their industry and have a long list of large corporate clients requiring they go the extra mile on each and every project they undertake. At Oliver Miller, we recognize the significance of collaborating with the very best and we very fortunate to be asked by Blue Sky Tipis to style a large-scale event for one of their prestigious high end clients.
The time constraints and creative requirements for this job were very specific, BST knew an interior stylist would be essential for its success and knew that finding the correct partner to fulfil the brief was extremely important. This particular event required four of BST’s Big Hat Tipis which typically house up to 80 people per tipi, along with the requirements for a plethora of furniture and accessories it was a great challenge that we at Oliver Miller we glad to accept.
Given that this event was situated in London, Blue Sly Tips understood the significance of collaborating with a high-end partner who possess an intimate understanding of the city's landscape and its clients specific requirements and so enlisted the services of our specialist team. For us at Oliver Miller it is critical we collaborate and work with clients and other brands that uphold the same level of service and professionalism that we pride ourselves on. Fortunately, we found that Blue Sky Tipis and their team seamlessly aligned with ours when working on this exciting and prestigious event.
Being ‘The Interior Styling & Home Staging Specialists’ and having previously worked closely with BST on a private clients personal property, we were confident that they were the perfect partner to team up with again. Our initial brief was to simply provide all rustic furniture and accessories to ensure the event tables were dressed to perfection, ‘dead zones’ were maximised in both functionality and aesthetic and to ensure the overall feel of the tipis was one of both excitement and enticement. We ensured each table was exceptionally dressed with perfectly matched cutlery, crockery, placemats and glasswear, seating had luxe throws and cushions, areas which felt a little too spacious had inviting lounge seating and all areas were illuminated with table and floor lamps to give that beautiful warm evening glow.
At Oliver Miller we excel in Interior Styling and Home Staging but also offer Event Dressing and Styling, boasting an extensive catalogue of extraordinary furniture pieces and accessories that are beyond the confines of a typical event brief. It was precisely this extensive range of individual pieces that allowed us to meet and exceed the requirements of this remarkable corporate event. Corporate Client Event
The client wanted to slightly change our initial brief and create sperate zones within the tipis, including a “sleep zone”, “living room” and “active space”. We were able to utilise our catalogue of accessories but more importantly fill in the gaps of what was required which included beds, beautiful bed linins and cushions, sumptuous rugs, vases, and occasional tables. Our team installed the living room zone which when completed created a zen, calm and cosy area perfect fulfil the clients brief. We were also able to add some of our beautiful armchairs, sofas, sofas to balance out all the more traditional more harder dining setup. These perfectly complimented what BST had on offer, and raised the bar on making the space really feel like a homely but high-end interior.
The active space was pulled together using a mixture of yoga mats and traditional rugs on top of the tipi floor to create a free flowing space where anyone could lay down, work out, meditate and more. This area was particularly challenging as we were working with an external matted flooring which needed to look beautiful and inviting as well as be functional. We were able to manipulate the exisiting lighting installed by Blue Sky Tipis to ensure it was focussed on the right areas and giving the right levels of illumination, whilst also adding our stunning floor lamps to give that overall warm and welcoming glow.
Event Styling
This particular event required extensive planning and meetings held before the event to ensure everyone was well briefed, of which we ensured we brought our most talented stylists and worked closely with the talented Blue Sky Tipis team to ensure every piece of furniture, cushion, rug and vase were to be placed in the correct location within the tipis, taking into consideration the flow of guests, potential weather/wind requirements and any trip hazards in more populated areas. Both the BST and OM teams worked seamlessly together on site throughout the process, moving, tweaking and putting the finishing touches to and creating the perfect tipi set up the client was blown away by.
At the end of the installation day, between the two businesses we had successfully answered the clients brief, created an amazing space for the guests and memories of this corporate event, we pride ourselves at Oliver Miller at being able to provide an extensive range of beautiful one-off products, combined with extraordinary service for any photoshoot or event you may hold.
